Getting started

Do I need an account to use FlightFlow?

No email account is required for core tracking. FlightFlow starts an anonymous app account so flights can be saved; an email account is only required if you want cross-device sync between iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Android.

How do I add my first flight?

Tap the plus icon on the home screen. Enter a flight number, or pick a route and date. FlightFlow resolves it against configured flight-data sources and starts tracking.

How do I share a flight with someone who does not have the app?

Open the flight, tap the Share icon, and pick a contact. They get a link. The link works on any phone or computer (no install, no signup). They see the status, gate, ETA, and lifecycle in their local time.

Tracking flights

How accurate is the share-link status?

The share-link page renders the latest flight record we have for status, gate, ETA, and lifecycle. Live aircraft-map streaming will only be claimed on the web surface after position data is wired into that page.

What is the difference between airline notifications and FlightFlow alerts?

Airlines push alerts after their operations and customer-comms flow confirms a change. FlightFlow Pro is designed to watch source flight data and push consequential changes. Free users see current data in-app on demand when they refresh.

Does the share-link page track the recipient?

No. We do not set tracking cookies on /track/{token}. We do not store the recipient's IP, device, or browser fingerprint. If they opt in to a one-time "notify me when they land" message, we store only what is needed to deliver that one push or email.

What happens after I land?

Share-link data is deleted 48 hours after the flight lands. Your own flight history stays until you delete your account, and you can export it before deletion.

Pro features

How does the EU261 / DOT compensation engine work?

When a covered delay or cancellation happens to a flight you tracked, the Compensation Engine cross-references the airline's reason code, weather context, and the aircraft's tail history. If you appear eligible, it prepares a claim brief and evidence PDF for you to review and send.

What does Pro cost?

$3.99 per week, $6.99 per month, $49.99 per year, or $199 once for the 1.0 Pro feature set. Eligible accounts can start a 7-day Pro trial through the App Store or Google Play.

Will you raise prices on me?

We give 90 days of notice before any Weekly, Monthly, or Annual price increase, and your current price is honored for the remainder of your billing period. Lifetime purchases retain the Pro feature set that existed at time of purchase. See /changelog.

What is Calm Mode? Is it really free?

Yes. Calm Mode is a free feature designed for nervous flyers, built with the r/fearofflying community in mind. It works offline once cached, gives plain-English reassurance for normal flight events, and never shows a turbulence forecast. See /calm-mode for more.

Privacy and account

Do you sell my data?

No. We do not sell, license, or syndicate user data. This is a contractual commitment, not a marketing claim. See /about for the full reasoning and /privacy for the list of vendors we use (all processors under DPAs).

How do I delete my account?

In-app: Settings, Privacy, Delete my account. On the web: /data-deletion. After a 30-day soft-delete window, all your data is permanently removed.

Can I export my flight history?

Yes. Settings, Privacy, Export my data. You receive a JSON file by email within minutes, plus a CSV for spreadsheet use.

Still stuck?
